Choose today… a Life in Love with Jesus
I am probably dreaming but for me the website would have more value if it offered people some suggestions on how one might recover, or better yet, save the relationship before it becomes an “obit”. Then again, that would be defeating the site’s purpose, right?
Many of these relationships begin as a witness before God in the sanctity of marriage. However, once vows have been exchanged and the party is over; many people remove the binding agent that was there when the marriage pronounced – God. Further along in their marriage when the couple find themselves in discord; they miss the opportunity to turn back to the One who has the power to heal – Jesus. Oh, how it must sadden God that so many people find themselves torn apart from the very relationship He designed.
If you are looking to get into a relationship I encourage you to choose first… a life in love with Jesus. If you’re in a great relationship, praise God! If you’re fighting to keep your love alive or searching for hope after a failed relationship; let these words by song writer Chris Tomlin wash over you:
There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say, It is well
… Jesus has overcome …
It is never too late to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ. He is only a prayer away. Once you’ve built that relationship and you have that anchor for your soul, you will be better equipped to build a relationship with a spouse. If you feel your relationship is in jeopardy; then fall on your knees in prayer before you fall out of love. But, alas; if you find yourself a victim of a failed relationship, God is there too – waiting. He longs to hear from you. Find a quiet place where you can be alone and just talk to Him the same way you’d talk to your best friend… because He is just that – your Friend.
You mean far more to God than a “relationship obituary” on a website. He wants the best for you and he gave His one and only Son in order to save you.
Romans 8:38-39 (NIV) 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
